I love the internet. My Latin teacher posted my grade Monday night. I don’t have to wait and agonize until class time on Wednesday. I made 88% of 100. A pretty high B. I was hoping for better, but realistically, a high B is fantastic.
For some reason, my kids have no school today. The city of Atlanta is having a Mayoral election. But, we don’t live in the city, or even in the same county as the city! I wonder if there are elections in my county and I am just oblivious…
We don’t really have any plans for the day off. My teen is having a friend come over to play Magic the Gathering. It is basically a card game version of D&D. We are expecting this guy around Noon. Sometime later in the afternoon, a new video game is being released. My teen has it on pre-order down at the mall. We’ll go down and pick it up. Not sure what time yet. Maybe if it is latish, we can combine it with having dinner somewhere out. Costs money, but makes is slightly more worth it to have hauled the kids out.
I have already filled two 39 gallon bags with stuff from the basement. I plan to get a third bag filled today. One bag a day is the goal, remember? So far, so good. Stay on target! While I was in the basement last night, I found a dead mousie. It was a tiny little thing. I left it there. Hubby is going to clean it up in the daylight hours today. I also found mouse droppings on the tops of a lot of boxes. The basement is unfinished. I guess there are mice living in the ceiling? Between the floor of the street level and the insulation that serves as the ceiling of the basement. I don’t know. I am going to have to call an exterminater. We use Terminex to treat outside. Not just for termites, they do a bug service all around the edges of the house. I wonder if they do insides and mice… I am hesitant to go back in there with the possibility of a mouse falling out of the ceiling onto my head. I may be paranoid though. *shiver*
The American History test is tomorrow. I am not finished rereading the chapters for that. I am not panicking though. A little WWII, some Eisenhower, Truman, Korea, nuclear testing, cold war with Russia. I think I know a lot of this.
Gah. If the kids feel antsy, maybe I can take them out to a park or something. I can read my history at a park. If the weather is nasty, we could go play at McDonald’s. I just know they are going to need to burn off some energy. I hate for them to sit in front of the television or the computer all day. Getting them out and letting them do something active is a better plan.
Well, I reckon I have said all I need to say today! I’ll let you know how I feel after the test tomorrow!
