So, I had a really bad few weeks in a row there. I think I am back on track. I picked up a few more X of Steel videos. There is one for legs, one for abs, and one for buns. Each one is a 30 minute workout. They are HARD. But I need muscle tone. And I am doing the cardio more. My goal, only in my mind, is to do cardio every other day and muscle work on the opposing days. Plus a little bit of stretching or something tossed in once in a while. For me, the cardio simply consists of walking, mostly in place, for half an hour. I’ll leave it at that level until it stops making me worn out and sweaty. Then I will up it to an hour.
My official goals haven’t changed. As long as I can get in 2 workout sessions a week, I am calling it enough. More than that is lovely, but just gravy.
I did a lot better about my other goals this week. I got in 3 liters of water nearly every day. I stayed away from junk food nearly every day. I did each half a dozen medium-sized powdered doughnuts one evening. I hat that hubby sneaks bad-for-me foods in the house. When I see them, they provoke cravings. I can’t forget that I have seen them. I can’t ignore that they exist. One day, I may be built up to that. I hope so. In the meantime, I just have to keep reminding him that stopping at the grocer to pick up diet Dr. Pepper is not an invitation to bring super sugary snacks into my house.
Anyway. A bit better this past week. And keeping my attitude positive in relation to this week that is just starting.
