I walked the 3rd mile today on the machine. My calves hurt like a bitch. My thighs ache, too. The machine seems straight forward, but it really works a lot of different muscles. I did the same 1 mile, burned the same 121 calories. I went a tiny bit slower, due to the pain, but still logged in at less than 13 minutes.
I am the only one in my house doing this. My husband is eating chocolate every single day. He is eating bagel chips and potato chips and Oreos. He isn’t exercising at all. I feel very alone and not terribly encouraged in this. Like an island in a sea of badness. Blah.
So, I thought using the juicer was gonna be a cool thing. But I have been looking into it some and maybe it isn’t that good? You run the fruit through and then drink the juice. It gives you the vitamins and stuff, but not the fiber. So not as good as it could be, right? I tried it differently this morning. I ran a banana, a peach, a kiwifruit, some vanilla yogurt, and a handful of parsley through the blender instead. All the vitamins plus the fiber, so better, right? Maybe. Anyone have opinions or advice on that?
Anyway, just a wee update. I got nothing else going really. Drinking my water, intaking my fruits and vegetables, walking my mile.
