I went to the gym today! I felt lazy and whiney about going. But, I didn’t go yesterday, so I finally girded my loins and forced myself to just do it.
15 minutes on the treadmill. I almost felt like I could go a little longer, but I didn’t want to push it too much. I have “done” the C25k 3 times now, and I haven’t actually completed it properly even one time! So, I will keep working on it at the first level until I can do it the correct way and complete the session.
I also did the 11 machines that do strength/muscle building work. I love those and they go smoothly each time. I stayed at 2 sets of 15 reps today. I am going to try to go again tomorrow and do the same. Monday will start my second gym week and that day, or the first day I go in the second week, I will move up to 3 sets of 15 reps. That is my plan and I will stick to it.
The jogging is going to be a battle. I get so winded and overheated doing it. So then I am so out of breath and hot I can’t keep going. Since I can manage 15 minutes, I will just keep plodding along at that slower pace until I can do better without dying of asphyxiation. I want to jog! I will jog! It just won’t be this week, or next week.
